How to Access Control Center
To access the Control Center, simply swipe up from the bottom-right corner of your screen on an iPhone or iPad running iOS 18.
Multiple Control Center Pages
If you have multiple Control Center pages, you can swipe up and left or right to access them. Each page contains a different set of widgets and shortcuts, so you can customize your Control Center to fit your needs.
Control Center Widgets
The Control Center also includes a variety of widgets that allow you to quickly access important information and settings. These widgets include:
- Clock: displays the current time and date, as well as a calendar and weather information.
- Music: allows you to control your music player and access your music library.
- Notifications: shows all of your notifications, including missed calls, messages, and emails.
- Battery: displays the battery life of your device and provides information on how to conserve battery life.
- Quick Controls: provides quick access to common settings such as brightness, volume, and screen rotation.
- Custom Widgets: allows you to add custom widgets from third-party apps, such as weather forecasts or fitness trackers.
Switching Between Apps Using Swipe Up and Hold Gesture
Multiple App Previews
When you swipe up and hold on an app icon in the Dock, you will see a preview of all the apps that are currently open on your device. Each app will be displayed as a thumbnail, allowing you to quickly switch between them.
Quick Actions
In addition to seeing a preview of your open apps, you can also access quick actions by swiping up and holding on an app icon in the Dock. These quick actions allow you to perform common tasks such as taking a screenshot or opening the settings menu without having to switch to another app.
Control Center Widgets
The Control Center also includes widgets that can be accessed from the app preview. These widgets include:
- Quick Settings: allows you to quickly access common settings such as brightness, volume, and screen rotation.
